I have known Bertha and Glenn for about 33 years of climbing, skiing, hiking, and dining. How about 33 more?
December in the Nisqually Wildlife refuge with Henry Mustin, Laura Lippman and Dianne Hoff. We froze our butts but saw a host (flock?) of amazing birds and a few fearless deer.
Dianne Hoff, Mary Petzold (music hall queen with the throat of gold), and Sparks (Jim Stiles dressed in his old role of electrician.) Mary took Dianne on her first overnight backpack in, I hesitate to guess, 1978.
Jim's nephew, Cameron, with the Liberty Bell group in the background. It is hard to believe that I, Jim, have climbed all three of these gendarmes.
